News From The D.CThe winter seems to have passed us by - first loads of mud and then a rather cold spell! Now we can look forward to the spring and hopefully warmer weather, and a great deal of success in the summer. Training seems to be going well across all the groups and I hear Junior rallies are very full. Could it be the need to have three rallies attended in order to go to camp! The camp details should be with you by now - remember it is just one week 3 rd - 8 th August for Juniors and Seniors and 28 th - 31 st July for mini camp. First Aid training was held in March - 13 mums attended. Thank you. We shall have another session later in the year. We would like to say very well done to Zoe Symes who has qualified for the National Winter Dressage Championships at Hartbury College, in April and we wish her good luck for this competition. Also congratulations to Jade Rose who has qualified for the second round of the Dengie Show Jumping and the Dengie Dressage, and to Charlotte Perrott who has qualified for the second round of the Dengie Show Jumping. On the 10 th May we are holding a Pony Race Day at Wincanton Racecourse. I need help with this to ‘man' car parks, stewarding, The Tote, and of course just come along to watch. Please help to make it a really fun day. Finally Sally Hobbs our Treasurer wishes to stand down. She has worked very hard for the Pony Club over the last three years and has performed her role very efficiently and her work has been praised by Headquarters. She will be greatly missed but we now need a replacement. Sally is quite willing to work with a new treasurer to show him/her the ropes, so I hope we can find a willing parent to carry out this important role. Any problems please contact me on 01749 850229. |
